Dock en Seine, a contemporary retail venue near Paris, set out to create fitting rooms that feel warm, private, and adaptable. Eurolitex took the lead in shaping this vision and partnered with Goelst to bring it to life. From the beginning, both teams centered their discussions on the visitor’s experience rather than on the technical framework behind it.
Together, they translated the retailer’s ambition for soft, circular fitting cabins with a welcoming character, into a clear and practical design direction.
Creating freedom in layout and form
Eurolitex and Goelst worked closely to design ceiling-suspended circular cabins that integrate naturally into the store’s interior. This approach gives the retailer full freedom to adjust or expand the layout as the space evolves.
To support the gentle, curved shapes the designers envisioned, the project incorporated a customized configuration of the Goelst 4100 system, chosen for its ability to follow smooth circular lines without disrupting the overall aesthetic. Every design choice reinforced the same intention: creating a calm, comfortable moment for visitors inside a dynamic retail environment.
A fitting room that feels calm, warm, and intentional
Visitors now step into fitting rooms that feel intimate and thoughtfully designed. The smooth, circular flow of the cabins guides them inward, helped by the custom-bent structure that creates a sense of softness and privacy from the moment the curtain moves. The curtain glide remains quiet and effortless, supported by discreet accessories that stay out of sight so the focus stays on the visitor’s experience.
The warm ochre curtains and the refined black detailing echo the store’s interior palette, blending with the stretched ceiling and wooden floors rather than competing with them. Ceiling-mounted supports keep the cabins visually light and leave the surrounding layout completely open, allowing the fitting rooms to take their place naturally within the space.
For Dock en Seine, the lasting value lies in how adaptable the solution is. The retailer can rearrange, remove, or expand the cabins whenever the store evolves, without being bound by fixed walls or heavy structures. This flexibility ensures the fitting rooms continue to support new collections, seasonal layouts, and the overall atmosphere the retailer wants to create.
